10,000

Yesterday the A-Z hit its 10,000th visit! While I'm well aware that, in internet terms, this is equivalent to little more than nothing, it's a huge event for me personally. I'm just one guy spouting his thoughts about a relatively obscure topic, seemingly into a yawning black void. Turns out that the void isn't so dark after all. Over 10,000 people in 94 countries have read my words and listened to the music posted here. There are a lot of great people out there who share a common interest and passion of not only Japanese music, but the music community as a whole.

Mostly I'd like to thank the various sites that have, for no reason other than the aforementioned love, shared my blog with the world. Word of mouth is the only advertising I've done and let me tell you, it's a great feeling to see other sites and people I respect mentioning my name.

None of this would exist without the support of my friends at Japanator. They took me on as a writer 11 months ago, and it quite literally changed my life. I had no idea I would love writing so much. Sure, my Mom knew and a few teachers and professors did too, but I didn't. ZB's A-Z was born on Japanator, and since then many doors have started to open, both in my brain and in real life. Thanks guys!

Also make sure to check out The Otaku, Danny Choo, J!Ent, International Wota, JapanFiles, Red Ruin, Tokyo Times and all of the other people linked in my blog roll. Each and every one has something unique to offer.

Thanks again to everyone visiting the blog! As always, I have big plans for the future. It may take some time, but if you stick around I can assure you it'll be worth it.

Hey, thanks for the great comments everyone! I'm glad you're enjoying the blog. It's definitely a labor of love, and you guys make it all worth it. Well, millions of dollars would make it all worth it as well, but I'll just take it one step at a time. ^___^
