Husking Bee

I suppose you could call Husking Bee a sort of emo band, but since I absolutely hate anything to do with the "emo" label I'm just going to call them what they really are, an indie rock band. Actually, they are a bit reminiscent of British new-wave stuff, with very tight arrangements and a louder, bashing-away sort of production. And the rock. The band lasted just over ten years before breaking up in 2005. A tribute album was released in 2007, featuring a virtual who's who of J-rock, including Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Beat Crusaders, Mongol 800 and Asparagus. Husking Bee also contributed a song to the rock anime Beck, with singer Kazuya Hirabayashi providing the singing voice for Tanaka in the show.
