Spoozys are part of the new wave of Japanese New-Wave bands. Along with the likes of Polysics, they blend together rock and funky beats along with massive amounts of squelchy electronics. Oftentimes sounding like The Cars or early Japanese new wave bands like The Plastics, they manage to sound both retro and cutting edge from one song to the next. They appear at around the 17:40 minute mark in this excellent video featuring performances from a host of Japanese electro-rock acts.
