X-Japan

X-Japan

X-Japan were (and now are again) a glam rock band. Starting in the late '80, the band kept hairspray factories running overtime up until the mid-nineties when they dropped the glam look for an album or two, then promptly broke up after the death of guitar player Hide. Since then everyone has been busy either not being alive or working with various solo projects, most notably Yoshiki and S.K.I.N. X-Japan have recently announced plans to reunite, and have released one song, "I.V." for the Saw IV soundtrack. I bet you mega-fans who bought all those $300 commemorative box sets feel pretty silly now eh?!
