Melt Banana

Fast, crazy, math-punk chaos. Highly disciplined, angular, laser precision. I know it's bad form to define one band by naming another, but the simple description of Melt Banana is a female fronted Dillinger Escape Plan. Still, that doesn't come close to explaining the guitar work of Ichirou Agata. He channels the spirit of sirens, race car engines, cats in heat, all over the tight, stuttering beats and equally shifting bass lines. Yasuko Onuki half shouts, half raps and half talks her way around all of this with her sharp, rhythmic vocal style.
